Country 8. China

Canton Chinese Restaurant, Launceston, Tasmania.

Tsingtao lager.
Steamed Dim sims, Spicy Chicken wings.
Beef chow min, Chicken and Cashews, Sweet and Sour Pork and Fried Rice.

While the entrees were tasty and the beer was good, the mains were rather bland. However, I would certainly eat Chinese again but not here.

Country 7. Jamaica

Mango Juice to start!

Corn on the cob, Finger lickin' chicken drummettes, soulful salad.

Sassy at the bar.

Genuine, cheap and cheerful! Cooked by the owner 'Sassy', whose passion is cooking his mother's recipes from Jamaica! He moved here two years ago and you can tell it's genuine food! Favourites were the drummettes and the  goat and veggie curries. Yummy desserts.

Country 6. France

Aux Batifolles French Restaurant. 1664 Beer to start with!
Escargots de Bourgogne a l'ail. Garlic, parsley and lemon butter.
Enjoyed by Beth, slightly less by Cath!

Pitivier de poulet- langouste.French pie with chicken, crayfish and gruyere cheese with bisque and brandy.
Lamb shanks with a bed of mashed potato.
Profiteroles au chocolat with vanilla icecream and warm sauce.
Poached poire in red wine served with an almond biscuit.

With the exception of the snails,(which were only really yummy due to the crispy parsley) the other courses were delicious.
